The "Shoulders" of Your Bridge Deserve a Flawless Finish
Casting a Pier Cap (Pier Head) is one of the toughest jobs in bridge construction. You are working at height, dealing with dense reinforcement bars, and pouring tons of concrete that creates massive side pressure. If the formwork bulges even slightly, or if grout leaks through the joints, you are looking at expensive rework or a rejected inspection.
Hyson’s Pier Cap Formwork is built to handle this reality. We don’t just sell steel plates; we design a self-supporting system that holds its shape rigid under pressure. Whether you are using a holding hoop (collar) system or floor-standing scaffolding, our molds ensure your bridge piers look as good as they are strong.
Why This Mold Works
No More "Bulging" (Anti-Deformation): We use thickened ribs and trusses tailored to your specific pouring height and rate. We calculate the load limit specifically so the mold stays dead straight, no matter how fast you pour.
Grout-Tight Joints: Gaps kill concrete quality. We machine the edges of our panels and use a tongue-and-groove design with rubber gaskets. The result? Clean, fair-faced concrete that doesn't need plastering.
Easy High-Altitude Assembly: Working 20 meters up in the air is dangerous. We design our modules to be as large as your crane can handle, minimizing the number of bolts your workers need to tighten while hanging in a harness.
Smart Stripping: Our tapered design and corner mechanisms allow the mold to detach easily from the concrete without chipping the edges during removal.

Types We Design
English: Every bridge is different. We adapt the mold to your construction method:
- Self-Supporting (Non-Landing): Uses a friction collar or a through-rod on the pier column. No scaffolding needed on the ground. Best for over-water or high-traffic areas.
- Floor-Standing Type: Supported by steel pipe towers from the ground. Best for low-height piers.
- Special Shapes: Curved caps, Hammerhead caps, or V-shaped piers? Send us the drawing; we'll figure out the geometry.
The Hyson Promise: "It Fits Before It Ships"
English: We know the nightmare of lifting a heavy steel panel 30 meters up, only to find the bolt holes don't align. That won't happen with Hyson. We perform a full trial assembly of your Pier Cap Formwork in our factory yard. We check the dimensions, the curve smoothness, and the hole alignment. We mark every connection point clearly so your crew knows exactly what goes where.
